Silver Fox Salvage

We are now entering our 4th year in Albany. We started as a predominantly architectural salvage business and now we have several areas of interest. We consider our warehouse a "decorators paradise." We specilize in highly decorative pieces suitable for the home, business, movie set and garden. Whether we purchase it old, new or make it ourselves, the majority of what we sell is geared for the "wow" reaction. Whether it's the 12 foot model airplane, the mounted full Lynx, the bronze cherub antique light fixture, or our signature table made from silo wood and porch posts, the reaction evokes the same response. And we have come to realize that beautiful things can be affordable. The vast majority of our inventory doesn't last more than a month. It's not unusual for us to sell something the same day it arrives. regular customers have come to know how quickly something can be gone.

And who are our customers: people from the Albany area locally, dealers from the surrounding area, people from Ohio, NJ, Colorado who find us on the internet, movie studios, decorators from around the country, architects, business people just opening a store and people with an eye for the unusual.

For our Albany location, we are located in the warehouse district of Albany, just off Broadway around the corner from the infamous Miss Albany Diner (used in the filming of Ironweed) and Wolff's Biergarten. Our 10,000 sq. foot warehouse also hosts a weekend crafts market selling handmade jewelry, a plaster restorer, a photographer and more.

In Great Barrington, our newest location, we are at 8 Stockbridge Road (the main street leaving town heading North).
